During the times of the city of Oleksandrivsk, there was a profitable house of P. Kogan, who in 1911 received permission to open the "Great Moscow Hotel" in it. Various shops were located on the first floor.
In 1917, a military headquarters for the city's security was located in the building. From November 1917, the office of the chief of the Oleksandrivsk garrison occupied some of the premises.
The modern-style building has not been fully preserved. Previously, a small tower adorned the corner part, and there were wrought-iron balconies on the second floor.
An interesting feature of the building is that if you look at it from the side, it appears flat.
