Built in 1930, the school is an example of constructivism in Ukraine and was intended for students from the entire district. It is known to local residents as the educational building of the Zaporizhzhia State Engineering Academy.
The building plan organizes the site well, dividing it into a parade ground, sports and recreational areas. The interior layout is corridor-based, with classrooms oriented towards the east.
The architect provided convenient connections and necessary isolation for separate rooms such as the gymnasium and workshops. The building volumes have diverse architectural forms, with their external plasticity being interesting and expressive due to the addition of opaque glass surfaces that harmoniously interact and accentuate the main premises.
During the reconstruction of the building after World War II, some changes were made that did not disturb the integrity of the overall structure.
