Opening of the exhibition of works from the International Festival of Contemporary Collage CUTOUT 2025

The Center for Contemporary Art of Zaporizhzhia begins the new artistic year with a grand international event!

January 9 at 5:30 PM

151 Sobornyi Ave.

For a whole month, an eccentric and deeply conceptual selection of selected works from the Third International Festival of Contemporary Collage CUTOUT 2025, organized by CUTOUT COLLAGE Art Project @cutout.festival, will be presented.

This large-scale art project, curated by Annette Sagal @theannete and Katya Sytoya @katyasyta, brought together over 130 artists from Ukraine and different parts of the world, and successfully thundered in three world capitals: Kyiv (National Museum "Kyiv Art Gallery"), Paris (Gallery Le Bonheur Est Dans L'Instant) and Tokyo (Between Gallery).

Thanks to the invitation of the cultural expert Leona Radchenko @liona_radchenko, Zaporizhzhia became the fourth point on the international CUTOUT map.

The central theme of the festival is “IDENTITY CODE: Nation, Culture, Politics”. This is a global discussion and research by artists from all over the world of the formation and fragility of self-consciousness in the conditions of historical, cultural and social changes.

The festival poses a direct and acute question: is it possible to preserve the identity of a nation while remaining apolitical in the modern world? The exhibition creates a unique space for dialogue between art schools, cultural contexts and personal narratives.
