This mural was created as part of a large-scale project called “Each of us is a hero. Each of us is part of modern history.” All of the images were created by renowned Ukrainian street artist and muralist Sasha Korban.
The initiative, developed for the 90th anniversary of the Zaporizhstal steelworks, is based on the desire to show that Ukrainians are united and cherish their national memory. Each of the company's contemporaries and employees, like prominent historical figures, is creating the future of a strong, resilient, and unshakable Ukraine. Independent, sovereign, and peaceful.
This wall depicts figures from the community, culture, sports, architecture, and science. All of these prominent figures are united by their love for their work and for Zaporizhzhia, to which they have dedicated part of their lives.
Famous Zaporizhzhia residents glorified the city and made it better for years to come. Just like today — the employees of the Zaporizhstal steelworks.
They work. They glorify. They develop.
